The US-based Pay TV operator Charter Communications announced its renewal to carry Fox programming. Charter’s Executive VP of Programming Acquisition said that the two companies will “amplify our mutual efforts to address piracy and abusive password sharing issues.”

Video providers tend to acknowledge piracy somewhat quietly, so it was a bit surprising to see an explicit mention of it in a rather brief press release.
