The South African Police Service arrested a man for selling illicit streaming devices and illegal video subscriptions. He appeared in court in December 2019, and will be tried in February 2020.
Programming came from The MultiChoice Group, which also owns a leading video security technology supplier, Irdeto.

Why it matters
As elsewhere, this arrest came as a result of collaboration between a video provider, a technology provider and law enforcement. The interesting twist is that the video provider happens to have a sister company that specializes in security.
