Program modules

The program includes 6 modules of five hours each, divided as follows:

  • INTERNATIONAL LEGAL AND REGULATORY STRATEGIES

Approach

The course takes a modern lab-based approach that provides for the application of specialized techniques such as OSINT, or the process of collecting and analyzing publicly available information to assess threats, digital forensics, Artificial Intelligence, blockchain analysis and digitized investigative techniques. The initiative was also designed for audiovisual professionals who want vertical training in security and content protection with consequent blocking of illicit dissemination.

Why it matters

With this program, combined with ongoing refinement of anti-piracy regulation and reported improvements to its Piracy Shield incident ticketing platform, Italy is taking a leadership position in the fight against digital piracy.

The goal is to help raise the level of attention and intervention towards those who work in the illegality of the web, violating the Copyright of audiovisual content and stealing sensitive data and information from users, often unaware of what is happening to them,” said Federico Bagnoli Rossi, President of FAPAV.

“What we thought, by designing this course, is not only a broad, current and laboratory training program, but also an experience capable of increasing knowledge on a complex and delicate topic. Our intent is also to provide practical tools to identify and dismantle piracy networks.”
