On February 5, 2026, Ro Phim, a piracy network in Vietnam that provided illegal access to movies and TV programming posted notices across its various channels that admitted its impact on legitimate streaming platforms and voluntarily shut down.

It had sourced its library from subscription platforms that included Disney+, HBO and Netflix.

On February 2, just days prior to the Rophim shutdown, a network of illegal sports streaming Web sites, including Xoilac, Vebo and Thapcam simultaneously became frozen.  Links to the sites worked but screens went blank.

In addition to their Web sites, social and app channels used by these sites were also impacted.
