Operator news: As the main sports broadcaster in Turkey, Digiturk invests in anti-piracy

Digiturk holds the rights for the Turkish Super Lig, Turkish 1st League, France’s Ligue 1, the English Premier League, Germany’s Bundesliga, in addition to a variety of best-in-class sports content.  It is part of the beIN Media Group, which reaches 55 million subscribers in 40 countries.

Video security provider Irdeto announced that Digiturk is implementing the supplier’s cardless conditional access, forensic watermarking (for both OTT and linear broadcast distribution) and advanced protection services.  Digiturk started migrating to cardless conditional access technology in 2022. Irdeto also offers cyber services through rapid identification and blocking of illegally re-distributed premium assets.
